Pet identification with mass consumer engagement

Created in 2000 and improved interactively in 2011. The Snoutscan system is currently in development and demonstrable with a target completion Q4 2019.

ASSETS: 3 issued patents, 2000 and 2011 priority; open portfolio with multiple pending applications with broad and comprehensive specifications.

IT IS: The next-generation, dog identification system promoting wide-scale member procurement and engagement. A simple, fun smartphone capture of the dog’s snout, its unique biometric barcode, facilitates the reunion of a lost pet and its “parent” through a fingerprint-accurate correlation of “found animals” relative to enrolled profiles.

Universally accessible and robustly interactive, Snoutscan drives community engagement, shelter adoptions/revenue, and enthusiastic sharing. Willingly-accessed consumers and professionals power a new breed of transparent sponsorships and valuable partnerships.

How it works - A SIMPLE CONCEPT

ss_how-it-works.png

Snoutscan maps thousands of unique biometric keypoints of a dog’s nose and commits them to a database where they can be matched, just like a fingerprint, by anyone in a subsequent scan of that dog, alert the owner, and reunite pet with parent.

Why it works

IT’S INHERENT
Unlike chips, GPS collars and tags, Snoutscan uses the dermatoglyphics of a dog as a singular, irrefutable identifier.

IT’S ACCURATE
Snoutscan’s current testing of the matching algorithm alone has yielded consistent results of 90% or better. When combined with on-board GPS functionality and the pet parent’s profile information, Snoutscan’s rate of accuracy should approach 100% in matching probability. This is a statistic that cannot be achieved with apps utilizing facial recognition for dogs.

IT’S ENGAGING
With a simple enrollment and fun operational experience, members can enjoy an ever-expanding community-driven knowledge base and support portal dedicated to pet health and safety.
